The Sasquatch Outpost And Discovery Museum

The Sasquatch Outpost in Bailey, Colorado is listed as one of the top 10 wackiest places to visit in all of Colorado. The Sasquatch Encounter Discovery Museum is a must-see for anyone who has any interest in Bigfoot! It is a fascinating journey into Bigfoot Territory complete with their very own Bigfoot named “Boomer”! There are also exhibits of casts of foot prints, hair, and eyewitness accounts.

The outpost is visited by thousands every year and has the largest selection of Sasquatch souvenirs anywhere in the Western U.S. They also sell a huge variety of camping supplies and gear to get you squatchin’. There’s a little Bigfoot cave and forest decorated like a magical forest with themed lighting and immersive design that kids will enjoy. There’s now even a Bigfoot Escape Room (Deep Woods Sasquatch Escape Adventure) where you and your team will have one hour to discover what happened to world-renowned Sasquatch researcher, Dr. William J. Boone, who vanished without a trace over 30 years ago.

One of the more interesting exhibits is The Tremendous Turd. It’s a four foot long seemingly Bigfoot turd. “I’d never seen a turd like that,” said Jim the owner, who discovered the feces in July 2020, about ten miles from the Outpost.

A real missed opportunity here with naming this turd ‘Tremendous Turd’. A name like ‘Crypturd’ would have really gone viral.
